At Humboldt Apothecary, the herbalists take the guesswork out of medicating with cannabis. Using CO2 oil rendered from sun-grown, organic flowers farmed in Humboldt County, the company offers a line of herbal tinctures designed to alleviate conditions ranging from anxiety to inflammation. Most of the tinctures are crafted in a blend of organic honey and grain-free alcohol, which means the organic compounds in cannabis are released directly into the bloodstream. This is a significant benefit over the guesswork sometimes involved in consuming edibles. Knowing that many of their customers are first-time cannabis consumers, Humboldt Apothecary tests all of their products for exact cannabinoid content. The THC and CBD levels of each tincture are printed on each bottle, and even formulated per dropper.

As the laws governing cannabis continue to shift under our feet in California, the female business partners behind Humboldt Apothecary look forward to sharing their healing tinctures with larger audiences. Though the tinctures can be used recreationally, Humboldt Apothecary gets much more excited talking about plant synergy in action and “keeping love and vibrancy in their products.”

Featuring turmeric and black pepper, the Inflammation Soother is packed with the spicy, verdant flavor of honey, spice and cannabis. Formulated to nourish our immune system and combat inflammatory imbalances, the Inflammation Soother blended seamlessly into our Strawberry Balsamic Popsicles, a healthy summa’time treat for grown-up boys and girls. Ask about Humboldt Apothecary products at your local dispensary and feel the love!

Anti-Inflammation Strawberry Balsamic Popsicles

Makes about 10 popsicles

4 cups fresh strawberries, rinsed and hulled

3 tablespoons sugar (adjust to the sweetness of your berries)

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

*5 droppers Humboldt Apothecary Inflammation Soother CBD Tincture

In a medium bowl, pour sugar over strawberries and let macerate for at least 30 minutes.

Pour strawberries into blender with balsamic, black pepper and tincture. Pulse until mix is just blended (or leave fruity chunks!) Pour into Popsicle molds and freeze for at least 12 hours. Run warm water over Popsicle molds for 30 seconds before carefully squeezing out. Enjoy!

*This quantity of tincture will provide a micro-dose of 1.05 mg THC in each Popsicle, providing zero to minimal psychoactive affects, but plenty of anti-inflammatory benefits from the turmeric, black pepper and high-CBD cannabis.
